Sports Premium Funding
Sports Premium Funding has been allocated to all schools to improve the quality of sport and PE provision in schools. Birches First School is determined that this will make a sustainable impact on the well being of pupils and on the long term delivery of high quality PE in school.
How will we be spending the Sports Premium funding:
Sports Premium Funding was used to introduce children to a range of new sports with coaches working in school alongside staff.
A specialist dance teacher was employed to work alongside staff to help develop their skills in the teaching of dance.
Additional games and PE equipment was purchased.
Funding was used to help support activities in our Healthy Schools Week.
The funding was also used to support transportation costs to local sports events.
During this academic year we aim to use the Sports Premium funding for a number of projects.
To provide high quality CPD for the teaching of gymnastics across the school.
