Another busy week drew to a close on Friday. The week began with the second of our Nursery open sessions offering potential Nursery age children and their parents to chance to come in and see the provision on offer and chat with the Early Years team. Thank you to all the Early Years team for welcoming our visitors to school. A reminder that Nursery applications close on 29th March and must be made directly to the school office. If you have, or know anybody who has a child who was born between 1st September 2014 and 31st August 2015 then please take a look at our admissions page on our website for more information.
On Monday afternoon Year 3 performed their dance festival performance of a ‘Moana Medley’ along with a couple of numbers from their Ex Cathedra workshop the week before to the rest of the school and delighted family members who may have been unable to make it to the actual evening performances. They once again performed so well and did themselves proud!
Our sports teams were busy again last week with a football match at Codsall High School against Perton First on Tuesday and tag rugby at Perton First school on Thursday. Well done to both teams for representing our school with pride. Thank you to Mrs Stubbs for her support and organisation of these events as well as to Mr Cain and Mr Rottan who assisted with the football match.
Thank you to our Year 2 parents who attended our SATs meeting last week. We hope you found it useful. Thank you to Mrs Cain and Mrs Pennington for their time in explaining the SATs so well.
I hope you have all had a lovely (although very cold!) weekend and are looking forward to the coming week at Birches. On Tuesday we have our ‘Egg-citing’ Easter event with Flip and Dippy which I’m sure all the children will enjoy!
