The PFA is a much valued part of Birches First School life. Not only raising much needed extra funds to support the children’s education, but also organising social events for the school community. The PFA works in partnership with the school, the governing body and the wider community. We are grateful of any help whether it is at school events, with fund raising ideas or just a show of support by attendance at our meetings.
ALL parents and families are automatically members of the Birches First School PFA. You can devote as little or as much time as you are able to in supporting events.

A number of very successful events are held throughout the school year, including film nights, a Christmas event and disco, Easter entertainers and our summer fayre, with new additions to the calendar planned for the coming year. As well as these events, children also enjoy designing their own Christmas cards for their parents to buy, organised by the PFA.
All profits from these events are put back into the school, providing a range of resources to support the children’s learning and enrich their experiences. The PFA has recently purchased iPads, Kindles, music resources, online learning subscriptions as well as subsidising the cost of coaches for school trips. We would like to thank all the staff, parents and children for their support and for making this possible.
We hope that Birches PFA events and activities are enjoyed by all. If you have any suggestions for new events or activities we could do to raise more funds, please do let us know. We would love to hear from you.
