It has been another lovely week in school with the children continuing to show many things to be proud of.
Our maths leader Miss Hulme enjoyed the opportunity to go into classes this week and see a snapshot of the children’s learning across school. She was pleased to see children engaged with their learning and using a range of strategies and resources to embed their understanding.
On Wednesday evening we held our SATs meeting for Year 2 parents. We hope that those who were able to attend found the information useful.
The children in Reception enjoyed making lanterns and dragon masks as part of their learning about the celebration of Chinese New Year. Kung Hei Fat Choi!
As part of our commitment to promoting positive attitudes and wellbeing, on Friday morning the children in Year 2 and 4 took part in our first ‘Magical Mornings’ session. These sessions cover a range of elements to help improve children’s confidence and help them to develop positive attitudes as well as understand the importance of healthy bodies and healthy minds. Over the coming weeks Mr Atwal will work with children across school to ensure we maximise the number of children who can benefit from these sessions.
We hope all of our families have a happy weekend. See you next week!
